KEEPING DEAD FLOWERS KEEPING DEAD FLOWERS KEEPING DEAD FLOWERS

QUARTZVII (Vii/Seven Hart) is a non-binary Australian multi-disciplined visual artist based in the Greater South-West of Sydney, New South Wales.

Prodominately working in the realms of both traditional fine arts mediums and digital art. Their work explores themes of existentialism, the distortion of memory, divine emotion, mutation and transformation through trauma, alchemist concepts of transmutation, spiritual sickness and alchemy through both traditional and digital mediums and a glitched blend between digital psychedelia and the eternal archetypes that vibrate in new warping neurotic forms in the modern psychological landscape.

Their work is informed by the late 90’s and 00’s digital virtual scapes of low poly + sprite art video game graphics, online chat rooms, anime, the Melbourne golden age of graffiti, as well as contempory themes and aesthetics such as glitch-core hyper pop.
